I came up with the original music and song structure at band practice (Cosmic Rancher)and Artie Brooks came up with the melody and the lyrics along with Dave Porter. In my newly released version I have replaced Artie Brooks vocal with my own which was video taped in the studio. The rest of the music is as recorded by Cosmic Rancher in 2003 and I have pictures of Earl Hielm and Joe Hodges pop up during their respective solo parts. The original song Johnny recorded by Cosmic Rancher was selected to be in the movie “Circus Island” by Audry and Judy Landers. On this day that I am releasing this music video Artie Brooks has passed away last Tuesday so I have added a tribute to my good friend and song writing partner at the end of the music. I hope I am doing Artie proud. We love and miss you Artie Brooks
